User Reviews: The main strength of this treatment facility is the prevention program options that are available. Recovery and sobriety are not a one program fit all type of success story. Each client can take part in a program that is specific to what they may need to work on. This treatment facility also reinforces many life skills and general recovery skills that reinforce their main program. The main weakness of this facility is that it is an older building. However, with that being said, the building and amenities make up for that. I would recommend this facility to anyone that is very serious about their recovery and sobriety. The reason being that people serious about their recovery and serious about sobriety are going to look at how good the program is. I have personally seen the program at Acadiana Recovery Center change the lives of many different people from all walks of life, and I truly believe that Acadiana Recovery Center has a program and treatment program for anyone that is serious about their recovery.

Latest Reviews Of Rehab Centers In Louisiana LA

My husband went through this program and so far he made a lot of progress. We like that this rehab treats their patients with individual programs and not everybody gets the same. The facility was very nice and neat, it did not feel like a rehab center but more like a hotel on vacation. My husband had a lot of a great time as this rehab celebrates a lot of holidays such as Thanksgiving, Easter etc... right now my husband is at home and he still has the aftercare program so we can make sure if he needs help then he will receive it fast. He is really a changed man, not drinking anymore and he is so much more at peace.

I would recommend Hammond Addictive Disorders Clinic to anyone. The curriculum is great and the staff is always courteous and helpful. Also, the activities and time shared with others here have left me with lifelong friends!!!

I didn’t know anything about addiction until I came to Glove Inc. I knew I was an addict, but I didn’t know addiction actually had a legitimate aspect. I just thought I was the way I was. During treatment I learned about why addiction is a disease, and that there are things that predispose people to suffer from substance use disorders. Glove Inc gave me more than my sobriety- I feel like a human again.

Northwest Regional Center for Addictive Disorders is really a rehab that is a bit different from other places. They have an open ended program, which means you got to stay as much as you need to finish your program. The nurses helped me through and all the other staff members who were working with us. They really had a hard time with me, I think I was the hardest probably, maybe not but they helped me, they gave me vitamins, and meds when I needed, and so on, so I got through the hard part, I started on the program, which I quite enjoyed cause I could choose between a few things.

Louisiana Substance Abuse Facts

Substance abuse is prevalent in all parts of the United States, Louisiana included. Below are some statistics from 2015 concerning substance abuse among Louisiana residents aged 12 or older:

  • About 427,000 people 12 and older reported having abused marijuana.
  • Approximately 66,000 individuals reported cocaine use.
  • An estimated 6,000 people abused heroin that year.
  • More than 250,000 individuals had an alcohol use disorder.

Just over 12,000 people were in some type of substance abuse treatment program in a single day count in 2015, an increase from previous years. Considering the staggeringly large number of people who abuse drugs and alcohol, this one-day snapshot of those seeking treatment only represents a small portion of those who need addiction treatment help. Those who fail to seek help for substance abuse risk significant impairment in many areas of their lives including the development of significant mental and physical health problems.

  • State programs: These programs are funded by the government to provide a lower cost substance abuse treatment option for people in need.
  • Sliding scale: Some recovery programs are able to adjust the cost of treatment based on an individual’s income.
  • Payment plan: Likewise, a treatment program may allow an individual to pay off treatment over time if paying upfront would a cause significant financial burden.
  • Grants: You may apply for various drug or alcohol abuse grants offered by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
