User Reviews: "We have to save her life!," were the words to me as we frantically searched for my daughter who was not at the spot where she was to picked up and taken to New Found Life facilities. We finally found her and she was taken in by staff. It was my daughter's third treatment facility and finally one in which she felt comfortable and assured. It wasn't love at first sight, but as time went by I could see the change in her. Less and less of her blame game and more and more accepting responsibility for where she was in her life. Now it is three and a half years later and my daughter is about to receive her MBA and is enjoying life because of this wonderful and capable staff. And yes, it is one day at time.

Latest Reviews Of Rehab Centers In California CA

I was working while I was receiving addiction treatment. I got the much desired partial hospitalization treatment at Trinity Plus Healthcare Services Trinity Plus Alcohol and Drug Trt that treated my addiction and related mental disorders. The special programs are designed to address the issues of those who are unable to take extended absences from work or personal obligations. This really helps in an effective way to maintain the long-term effects of recovery and prevent relapse. Therapy and counseling help repair relationships and live a healthier life.

Their aftercare program has helped so much. Very much appreciate Aegis Stockton. Their only concern is to save lives. Aegis Stockton is a great and well-established rehab facility and they have an amazingly informative staff that is there to help you along the way. The food was great and the facility was clean I have been recommending their services to the people and I know and will keep on spreading the word.

The director is a good mix between being compassionate, understanding and firm. Beautiful isolated facility. They have the detox center at the rehab, so you can do everything there, and it is also for the comfort for the patients. On top of it, it has such a beaityful surroundings, it is so calming, just by being there, you feel instantly better. Therapeutic practices like individual therapy, chiropractic therapy are employed for effective treatment. More importantly, though I feel like myself again.

I went to Design for Change Recovery Services for a duration of five months. My experience there has been positive mainly due to the help of the staff. Some of them know what it feels like to be recovering from addiction since they have gone through it themselves. They have shared their own stories with me and told me their challenges to the road to recovery. I chose to enter the holistic track which was the perfect program for me to enter. They offered elements of yoga and relaxation sessions that greatly helped me recover from my addiction. After graduation, I still use what I learned during my stay at Design for Change Recovery Services.

CA Substance Abuse Facts

Californians tend to use certain illicit drugs at higher rates than the nation as a whole. For example:

  • Californians age 12 and older had higher rates of past-year marijuana use and past-year cocaine use than the national average in 2014-2015 (15.25% vs. 13.35% and 2.16% vs. 1.75%, respectively).
  • Past-month illicit drug use among teens has consistently been above national averages since 2010, and it increased between 2012 and 2014.
  • The rate of past-year alcohol use disorders among those 12 and older in California was also slightly higher than the nation as a whole in 2014-2015 (6.6% vs. 6.1%).

Despite the prevalence of substance abuse in California, on average, only 7.2% of those aged 12 and older who needed treatment for alcohol dependence or abuse received it during 2010-2014. During the same period, on average, only 11.7% of those aged 12 and older with illicit drug dependence or abuse received the treatment they needed.

The state has seen its share of drug overdose deaths, like the rest of the country. About 4,500 Californians died from drug overdoses in 2014, a 50% increase from 2002.

In Los Angeles County, nearly 400 deaths involved prescription opioids each year from 2006-2013, and prescription opioids were involved in about 60% of all drug-related deaths during that time period.

Getting Addiction Treatment Help

Many residents and nonresidents seek addiction treatment in California. The state is well-known for the number of rehab centers it offers. No matter what kind of program you’re looking for—be it inpatient/residential or outpatient—you have a good chance of finding it here.

If you are thinking of traveling for treatment, find out whether your insurance will cover treatment out of state. If you’re already in the state, see if there’s a local program that will meet your needs or whether getting help in another part of the state is a better option.

Where Else Can I Find Help?

Many people use insurance to pay for drug and alcohol abuse treatment. However, not having insurance doesn’t necessarily preclude you from getting help.

Other ways to pay for treatment include taking out a loan, borrowing from savings, and seeing whether you qualify for public insurance programs such as Medi-Cal and Medicare. In many cases, you may even be able to work out a payment plan with the center.

You can contact us anytime for questions about treatment programs and payment options.
