User Reviews: It is hard not to fall in love with this facility if you happen to have a stay there. I think half the credit for my recovery goes to the beautiful environment that the facility has to offer which made things a lot easier for me. Their food was really great. You are served with a lot of different and exotic meals and then there always are free snacks at your disposal. I personally was a big fan of the free ice cream and cigarettes. I also had an excellent experience with their staff members. They were very caring and supportive and it always felt like they truly cared about your recovery. There were also a number of indoor and outdoor activities to get involved in. I really enjoyed the paints and art sessions. I have recommended this facility to a couple of friends of mine and will also recommend them to whoever is reading this. Great work!

User Reviews: Staff is able to relate on a very personal level with client needs and experience. Staff is very passionate about clients receiving the needed information and wanting clients to get well and stay well. Older premises in need of renovation. A real gym/fitness area is sorely needed as well as a participatory music program and a library. Also, there should be a central, neutral area where men and women may talk especially to discuss the impact of some of the lessons. It is not a natural situation to be a bi-gender facility with NO communication. Staff observation and redirection as required may be appropriate. I feel that everyone was treated with respect even though some of the clients did "push the ticket ". Again, I feel that the staff, professional or other express a personal interest in clients welfare and health. I have difficulty imagining anyone getting more personal treatment, anywhere.

Latest Reviews Of Rehab Centers In California CA

I would like to write about my experience at Mela Counseling Services Center Inc. I am a chronic meth addict for more than 7 years. A cousin of mine recommended this center and so I decided to give it a try. I spent almost 3 months here. Mela Counseling Services Center Inc was very equipped to meet my expectations and my needs. Their treatment programs, activities and 1 on 1 counseling sessions helped me a lot. Thank you so much!

Best choice I ever made!

My sister was in desperate need of help due to her opiate and alcohol addiction. Our family chose Adapt Aware Zone Glendale because of all the positive feedback and recommendations from others who had gone through the program. We were treated respect, care and love from the staff as soon as we walked through the doors. My sister was able to start her recovery journey and receive the help she needed to get sober. Adapt Aware Zone Glendale was a godsend and not only helped my sister in her recovery, but also helped our whole family to reconnect and gain the knowledge and skills we needed to support her and become a family again. Thanks to Adapt Aware Zone Glendale my sister was given a new life and our family is forever grateful for that. Caring staff, beautiful treatment center, individualized treatment and Lots of LOVE. I would and have recommended Adapt Aware Zone Glendale to those struggling with addiction. Adapt Aware Zone Glendale is a place of HOPE and HEALING. Beautiful facility, caring staff, knowledable clinical team and very supportive nursing and medical.

The staff takes the time and effort to focus on the individual. This place is beyond beautiful, and so clean. This place will change your life if you are willing! Awesome place! Instead of leaving you there to go through withdrawal on your own, the nurses are always with you. I had been in and out of many other rehab centers in recent years before I ended up at Victory Outreach Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment and I think that it was the best decision that I made.

CA Substance Abuse Facts

Californians tend to use certain illicit drugs at higher rates than the nation as a whole. For example:

  • Californians age 12 and older had higher rates of past-year marijuana use and past-year cocaine use than the national average in 2014-2015 (15.25% vs. 13.35% and 2.16% vs. 1.75%, respectively).
  • Past-month illicit drug use among teens has consistently been above national averages since 2010, and it increased between 2012 and 2014.
  • The rate of past-year alcohol use disorders among those 12 and older in California was also slightly higher than the nation as a whole in 2014-2015 (6.6% vs. 6.1%).

Despite the prevalence of substance abuse in California, on average, only 7.2% of those aged 12 and older who needed treatment for alcohol dependence or abuse received it during 2010-2014. During the same period, on average, only 11.7% of those aged 12 and older with illicit drug dependence or abuse received the treatment they needed.

The state has seen its share of drug overdose deaths, like the rest of the country. About 4,500 Californians died from drug overdoses in 2014, a 50% increase from 2002.

In Los Angeles County, nearly 400 deaths involved prescription opioids each year from 2006-2013, and prescription opioids were involved in about 60% of all drug-related deaths during that time period.

Getting Addiction Treatment Help

Many residents and nonresidents seek addiction treatment in California. The state is well-known for the number of rehab centers it offers. No matter what kind of program you’re looking for—be it inpatient/residential or outpatient—you have a good chance of finding it here.

If you are thinking of traveling for treatment, find out whether your insurance will cover treatment out of state. If you’re already in the state, see if there’s a local program that will meet your needs or whether getting help in another part of the state is a better option.

Where Else Can I Find Help?

Many people use insurance to pay for drug and alcohol abuse treatment. However, not having insurance doesn’t necessarily preclude you from getting help.

Other ways to pay for treatment include taking out a loan, borrowing from savings, and seeing whether you qualify for public insurance programs such as Medi-Cal and Medicare. In many cases, you may even be able to work out a payment plan with the center.

You can contact us anytime for questions about treatment programs and payment options.
