User Reviews: I would like to say what a great program this was for my younger brother. Before coming to Counseling for Change, he had been through several programs with no long-term success. After being arrested for the 3rd time and court ordered to this treatment center, we had very little hope. The staff here was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. This is the first treatment that he stayed past the detox unit. Being that his addiction was heroin, he went in being very sick from the 3 days in jail after his arrest. They took great care of him throughout the process. This treatment was different than the rest because I think that the staff and structure really covered all areas. From the detox to the education about drug addiction to the group work and art therapy, my brother left with all the tools he needs to stay clean. He is 8 months clean today, it has been not an easy road, but My family and I feel very confident in his progress and new clean lifestyle.

Behavioral Health Adams County Memorial Hospital Inc is a great place. Clinically, the staff is the best. This is really a good place to start a new life away from addiction. The staff designs a plan where people in recovery can be holistically treated. This facility is AWESOME! The individualized care and tailored treatment plans helped me succeed as well as all the other tools.

The medical treatment was very effective because of the healthy environment HAMILTON CENTER Spencer IN provides. They treat the underlying causes of the disease and not just have you stop using. The staff takes the time and effort to focus on the individual. The staff was excellent and professional. HAMILTON CENTER Spencer IN is one of the higher-end inpatient rehab facility and surely the best of its kind. They are equipped to help you detox with more natural remedies rather than pills. Of course, they have nurses administering medications when it is needed. I owe that to HAMILTON CENTER Spencer IN and the people that work here.

Going to rehab is the best thing I’ve ever done for me and my family. After struggling with alcoholism for a quarter of a decade, I decided it was finally time to get clean for myself and my family. East Indiana Treatment Center helped me grow and reconnect with the people I lost during family counseling sessions. All of the therapists there really cared about what happened to me.

We were so stressed about the deteriorating health of my brother. He tried to do it on his own but was unable to go through the withdrawal symptoms. This facility helped him get through it. He really enjoyed the outdoor recreational activities here and came back home like a brand new person.

Treatment Info

IN Substance Abuse Facts

Chronic drug and alcohol abuse exert their debilitating effects on both a national and state-wide level. The percentage of residents in Indiana abusing substances is comparable to that of the national average, and amounts to devastatingly high numbers of people feeling the negative impact of drug abuse and addiction. Below are some revealing statistics surrounding substance abuse among Indiana residents aged 12 or older:

  • Approximately 15,000 people used heroin in 2015.
  • About 325,000 individuals had an addiction to alcohol that same year.
  • In 2015, an estimated 760,000 people reported past-year marijuana abuse, and 67,000 people tried marijuana for the first time.
  • That same year, about 68,000 individuals reported past-year cocaine use.

More than 25,000 people in Indiana were enrolled in a substance abuse program in 2015 and just over 7,000 individuals were being treated with methadone for opioid dependence. This means that only a fraction of the people who would benefit from addiction treatment actually received it. Regardless of your situation, it’s never too late to seek out a professional substance abuse treatment program that can support you on your path to sobriety.

Getting Addiction Treatment Help

If you’re ready to find an addiction treatment program but are unsure where to begin, there are a few ways to go about finding a program. You can always call us to speak to a recovery support specialist about available treatment programs. Further, if you have insurance, you can call your insurance provider to inquire about your substance abuse coverage.

Additionally, if you’ve been researching various treatment programs in your desired location, you can always call the facilities directly and inquire about program details. If you know what qualities you’re looking for in a recovery center, you can write down questions beforehand to ask when you call, such as:

  • Do you have any scholarships available?
  • How much does the program cost, and do you take insurance?
  • Are there any upscale or holistic services or amenities?
  • Do you create individualized treatment plans based on unique patient needs?
  • What is the program’s visitor policy?

Of course, you may have other questions you’d like to ask different treatment centers. This is not meant to be an exhaustive list, but a starting point you can modify and expand upon.
