User Reviews: I just received my 1 year coin thanks to Sunspire Health Heartland. I’m disappointed to see poor reviews by previous patients who seem to have forgotten why they were there. We aren’t writing a review for a resort, it’s a residential treatment center full of people who have chosen to dedicate themselves to helping addicts recover. I had dietary needs that were happily met, complaints that were addressed thoroughly and satisfactorily. They environment is serene, the gym is fantastic, and the staff were supportive. A year ago I was at an i describable low. I truly didn’t see a way out and didn’t really care what happened to me. I called Sunspire and he came and picked me up himself! When I read another post bashing him for increasing admissions I had to chuckle...only an addict would think like that. Being one, I know. I’ve learned so much on perspective and how to view things for what they really are. Increasing admissions in a blessing, a gift to those of us suffering in the grip of addiction. He made it possible for more sick people to get help. He made it possible to save more lives and give hope and purpose to those of us who felt we had none. I will never regret my choice to go to Sunspire and I recommend it often, wholeheartedly.

Latest Reviews Of Rehab Centers In Illinois IL

The staff of this center is very well engaged in client treatment facility offers a well designed individual treatment plan. Staff was very nice and accommodating! Good activities in and outside of the facility. Thank you for your help guys. The groups were good and they teach you how to deal with your issues that cause the addiction. It is definitely a family environment. They have helped me beyond any other of the 6 treatment centers I have been through.

They also have a really beautiful outdoor lounge that was a great place to just hang out and not feel like you were cooped up in the facility all day. An amazing facility that has great results. The environment is calm and serene and the atmosphere is relaxed with all the facilities you need. They give you back your Strength, Courage, and Hope! This place will give you the tools needed to succeed in your new life. The counselors were so nice and knowledgeable they helped me see and handle the major issues in my life.

Bridgeway Inc is really a rehab that is a bit different from other places. They have an open ended program, which means you got to stay as much as you need to finish your program. The nurses helped me through and all the other staff members who were working with us. They really had a hard time with me, I think I was the hardest probably, maybe not but they helped me, they gave me vitamins, and meds when I needed, and so on, so I got through the hard part, I started on the program, which I quite enjoyed cause I could choose between a few things.

The Dr is amazing and so are 3 other staff members!! Highly recommend to anyone that is looking for sobriety.

IL Substance Abuse Facts

Substance abuse and addiction affect people nationwide, leading to an increase in physical and mental health problems, as well as financial, occupational, and interpersonal consequences. Illinois residents are not exempt from problematic drug and alcohol abuse, with many state rates of use similar to those of the national averages. Consider the following 2015 statistics concerning Illinois substance abuse among people aged 12 and older:

  • About 36,000 people reported having used heroin
  • About 5.8 million individuals reported past-month alcohol use.
  • Nearly 650,000 individuals had an addiction to alcohol.
  • 194,000 people reported past-year cocaine abuse.
  • An estimated 1.3 million people reported having used marijuana in the past year.

The good news is that more people are enrolling in drug or alcohol abuse treatment. In 2015, on a single-day count measured by SAMHSA, 44,616 people were enrolled in some form some form of substance addiction treatment, an increase from 2011. Additionally, in a single day count in 2015, 13,559 people were enrolled in opioid treatment programs that dispensed methadone, an increase of more than 1,000 individuals from 2011. Still, there are plenty of people who forego addiction treatment, which is risky considering the harmful and potentially dangerous consequences of use.

Getting Addiction Treatment Help

When researching your treatment options, you may find it helpful to write down a list of inquiries. You can then call each treatment facility separately and get an idea as to which one may be the best fit for you. These questions may include:

  • What credentials do the staff members have?
  • Are there shared or private rooms?
  • What is the policy on visitors?
  • What types of therapies do they utilize?
  • What is the price of the program?
  • Do they create individualized treatment plans?
  • What types of amenities and services are offered?
  • Do they take insurance and, if so, which plans?
  • Do they offer any scholarships for low-income individuals?

If you’ve decided that you want to enroll in a recovery program but you’re unsure of what type of treatment you’d prefer, you may want to call us. Our team of support specialists are available around-the-clock to take your call.

Where Else Can I Find Help?

Insurance coverage is not the only way to pay for your addiction treatment. Plenty of people without insurance are able to finance their recovery through a number of options, such as:

  • Medicaid: Illinois Medicaid is a public assistance program that benefits low-income people of all ages, pregnant women, and those who are disabled or blind.
  • Payment plan: Some recovery programs will work with you to create a financing schedule in which the cost of treatment can be paid over time.
  • Sliding scale: Some lower income people may qualify for reduced treatment prices based on their income level.
  • SAMHSA grants: People who need extra assistance can apply for substance abuse treatment grants offered by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
  • Crowdfunding: You can create an online campaign in which family, friends, and strangers can donate to help fund addiction treatment. You might be surprised how much you can raise from people who want to see you get the help you need.
