Latest Reviews Of Rehab Centers In Kansas KS

My daughter has had much hurt and pain in her life and had experience depression, anxiety, and panic attacks for years which led to drug addiction. She has been to doctors, in counseling, in outpatient care, and in hypnosis to get help. With no relief, she continued in her addiction and was digging a hole so very deep that her very life was at risk. She asked me to find a place that was different than where she had been because she was desperate to be clean and get on a better road to recovery. I called several places but finally was led to COMCARE Addiction Treatment Services as this was a holistic center. Exactly what my daughter needed. She was admitted to a 30-day inpatient care program. The facility was so very welcoming, calming, and serene. The staff was so awesome, understanding and considerate of our emotions and feelings. They welcomed her in and worked with her on so many issues. When she would call home, she would talk about all of the different treatments she was getting and how it was helping her. She actually said she was having fun! The road to recovery is a long one and we know this as her family; however, because of this facility and the staff and management there, she has experienced wellness and she is clean. I thank you all at COMCARE Addiction Treatment Services for what you have achieved in this facility and for all that you did to support my daughter and our family. God bless you all.

There are always staff here to help. The residential staff was understanding, patient, and extremely supportive. the best part of treatment at the Corner House Inc is the counselors themselves. Everyone is very welcoming caring. You also get free ice-cream and cigarettes. The staff was so helpful that I was overwhelmed.

Treat patients with respect.....

The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The facility is well kept and clean with plenty of space for patients to do activities. City On a Hill offers real help to deal with your addiction. This facility and program exceeded my expectation. The SMART recovery is a very strong program that they offer, also the communications, those are very helpful, and really gives you some new points of view on your life. The programs offered at City On a Hill provided my sister with a complete medical plan with detoxification, methadone maintenance and aftercare planning with counselors and psychologists.

KS Substance Abuse Facts

Compulsive substance abuse, which is a major public health problem, is risky and harmful to a person’s physical and mental health. Across the country, people are plagued by drug or alcohol issues, and Kansas residents are no exception. The following statistics about substance abuse amongst Kansas residents aged 12 or older provide a small snapshot of the problem. In 2015:

  • About 292,000 individuals had used marijuana.
  • Roughly 3,000 people abused heroin.
  • About 141,000 individuals were addicted to alcohol.
  • Approximately 28,000 people used cocaine that year.

In 2015 in a single-day count, approximately 11,471 people were receiving substance addiction treatment services in Kansas. While this number is an increase from a single-day estimate from 2013, there is still a large number of people who fail to access the services of a Kansas rehabilitation program and continue to suffer the destructive consequences of addiction. Professional treatment services can provide people with the support and care necessary to get sober.

Getting Addiction Treatment Help

Finding treatment can be a difficult prospect when you’re overwhelmed with options. If you don’t know where to begin, call us to speak to a recovery representative about your substance abuse treatment options.

If you’ve found facilities in the directory but want to learn more, don’t hesitate to call the programs directly to get details on how treatment program operates. Creating a list of questions to ask based on your preferences can be helpful. Examples of questions include:

  • What is the patient-to-staff ratio?
  • What is the price and length of the program?
  • Do you accept insurance and what insurance do you take?
  • Do you create individualized treatment plans?
  • Do you offer dual diagnosis treatment? (Important if you’re suffering from a co-occurring mental health disorder)
  • Do you offer detox services?
  • Do you create aftercare/discharge plans?
  • What extra amenities or services do you offer?

Other questions may come up while you are on the search for the best fit for you. Your priorities and preferences may change as well as you begin to learn more about each program.

Where Else Can I Find Help?

Once you have made the commitment to seek help for your addiction to drugs or alcohol, you may be wondering how you can pay for your treatment, especially if you have no insurance or minimal coverage. If this situation applies, there are several potential avenues of funding that may serve as an alternative to insurance coverage or out-of-pocket expenditure, including:

  • SAMHSA grants: Grants made available by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration can help to reduce the cost of addiction treatment.
  • State programs: State-funded treatment programs utilize government money to offer affordable rehab prices to individuals in need.
  • Payment plans and sliding scales: If paying for rehab up front would cause significant financial burden, some rehabs may allow people to pay for treatment in regular installments or work with them to modify the cost according to their income.
