User Reviews: I was a voluntarily patient at WTC back in March and April of this year. Like most people trying to kick an addiction I really didn't want to be there. I was a tough cookie to the staff and made everyone's job that much harder....today I feel horrible about that! I was so consumed in my own hell and I was hurting on the inside so bad that I took it out on the people that cared about me. I was there for 15 yrs of opioid abuse and several other pills added to that. I was at the end of my rope....I had hit the very bottom! The staff never tried to overstep their boundaries with me...they were always there to listen to me and help me come up with different plans. I'm in my 30s, military background, and was very much out of my comfort zone! WTC is not the Hilton....but if u truly want to get clean then you do what u have to do. It's a clean place and the food isn't terrible. Once I jumped into the program, started hanging out with the other people who were sincere about their recovery, and just surrendered to letting someone else help me.....things started to turn around for the better! I owe WTC my life.....they helped me find me again! I truly feel if u want help this is the place to get it. There were days I wanted to lose my mind but I would knock on an employee door and even if they were busy they would take their time to talk to me. I am about to enter 6 months of sobriety.....and this is huge for me! I couldn't have done this without the help of everyone at WTC.....from the staff, to the lunch ladies, and housekeeping.....they truly do care. I never dreamed I could stop talking all the medications I was on.....I was in bad shape! I also met some great friends that r walking this clean and sober journey with me ...so many blessings came from WTC. If u of your loved one wants something and they want it bad then it's time for them to lace those boots up and go to war. It will be the best decision u or they will ever make! I promise u the staff will be there for your loved one.....get help before it's too late!

User Reviews: I have had been in and out of many rehab facilities before I came to Kernersville Healthcare Centere Outpatient Clinic and I have to say that the environment and staff care that I was exposed to at Kernersville Healthcare Centere Outpatient Clinic played a major role in my recovery. First of all, the facility feels less like a rehab center and more like a resort. Everything at the facilities defines luxury and comfort. I am a diabetes patient and they always took care of what I was supposed to eat. NC Substance Abuse Facts

The state of North Carolina was awarded $31 million in 2017 to help combat the current opioid overdose crisis. This government grant will provide addiction treatment to almost 3,000 people and is very much needed in a state whose overdose death rates continue to increase every year.

Of the 1,567 drug overdose deaths in NC in 2015, about 80% were due to opioids, such as prescription painkillers and heroin.

Looking at these numbers, it may not be surprising to learn that North Carolina has one of the highest number of painkiller prescriptions per person in the U.S. In 2012, there were 97 painkiller prescriptions per 100 people in the state.

Prescription opioid use can be a slippery slope to heroin abuse; one study found that 86% of heroin users transitioned to the illicit drug after abusing opioid pain relievers. In North Carolina, 16,000 residents use heroin every year, a number that could continue to increase as prescriptions for opioids rise.

If you’re ready to take the next step, but need help weeding through the many options and finding the right fit for you, call us.
  • Read reviews from past patients.

There are many NC addiction treatment centers to choose from—it’s up to you to take the first step.

Where Else Can I Find Help?

It’s no secret that rehab can get expensive, especially if you need a longer stay in order to get sober. Don’t sacrifice your health to save some extra money; if you need financial assistance there are ways to make it happen, including.

  • Payment plans and sliding-scale fees: Ask the rehab center if they have discounted rates for low-income earners or installment plans that will reduce the burden of handing over a lump sum up front.
  • Health insurance: If you have private insurance, find a center that accepts your plan. Also ask whether they accept Medicaid or Medicare.
  • Personal loans and health care credit: If you need to pay more than you can afford at the start, you may be able to take out a loan to pay for it or apply for a health care credit card.
