Latest Reviews Of Rehab Centers In New York NY

It is hard these days to find a treatment center that truly cares intimately and personally for their clients. It seems a lot of centers just try to get as many people as possible to grow their business. I speak from experience. 10 years in grips of addiction and 3 treatment centers later I was still struggling. That is when I luckily found Bronx Outreach Center Outpatient. This made a big difference for me as I began to feel an overwhelming amount of love and compassion from their staff each day. They cared about my life and my issues consistently day in and day out and actually still do to this day even though I graduated a long time ago. Once you come to Bronx Outreach Center Outpatient you gain a team of all-stars in helping you beat your addiction for life. I know I can always rely on and depend upon each relationship I built at Bronx Outreach Center Outpatient to help me navigate the complexities of living in sobriety and I know I can count on them the rest of my life.

The food they serve is clean and healthy. Clean, friendly, and excellent care. The staff here is very accommodating and easy to get along with. Staff is top shelf. The group meetings were awesome and educational. I’ve had some bad days since I’ve finished my program but I haven’t relapsed and going to Bette Center gave me the tools I needed to get through those bad days and the support system to help me when I need it.

VIP Community Services has been a very beneficial part of my recovery efforts. I would recommend this facility to anyone that asks me about my experience here or for any information about where to go for treatment. Great counselors and Staff!

Staff is able to relate on a very personal level with client needs and experience. Staff is very passionate about clients receiving the needed information and wanting clients to get well and stay well. Older premises in need of renovation. A real gym/fitness area is sorely needed as well as a participatory music program and a library. Also, there should be a central, neutral area where men and women may talk especially to discuss the impact of some of the lessons. It is not a natural situation to be a bi-gender facility with NO communication. Staff observation and redirection as required may be appropriate. I feel that everyone was treated with respect even though some of the clients did "push the ticket ". Again, I feel that the staff, professional or other express a personal interest in clients welfare and health. I have difficulty imagining anyone getting more personal treatment, anywhere.

NY Substance Abuse Facts

Substance abuse issues are quite prevalent in New York. Both drug and alcohol abuse and dependence have had devastating consequences for many state residents. Consider that in New York:

  • An average of about 1 million people suffer from an alcohol use disorder each year
  • In a single year, 87,000 people over 12 years old reported using heroin, making the state’s average percentage higher than the national average.
  • The number of people over 12 who used cocaine in the same year reached 425,000, almost half a million people.

Unfortunately, occasional drug use can very quickly lead to addiction, and overdose is a constant risk. In 2015, there were 2,754 drug overdose deaths in New York, an increase of about 400 deaths from 2014.

With the rates of use and overdose deaths so high in the state, it’s no wonder that various New York cities are taking the initiative to combat the epidemic. The city of New York has invested $38 million a year to reduce the number of deaths from opioid overdoses. Part of the initiative includes increasing the availability of naloxone—an opioid overdose reversal medication—in pharmacies (including without a prescription) and providing naloxone kits to NYPD officers and homeless shelters. However, while naloxone may reverse the effects of an overdose, the best way to protect yourself if you’re dependent on and/or addicted to drugs is to get professional treatment.

Getting Addiction Treatment Help

If it’s your first time getting treatment at a rehab center, you may not know where to start. Rest assured, there are plenty of treatment support specialists that can help you choose a facility and guide you through the entire process.

Call us to learn more about the treatment options available to you and to ask any questions you may have about rehab and the process of enrolling in a program.

Where Else Can I Find Help?

Depending on your particular circumstance, a treatment advisor may suggest a longer stay at the facility (e.g., 90 days) to give you the best chance of recovery. Don’t let the fear of being away from your normal life deter you from getting treatment. Rehab professionals want what’s best for you and will take your individual situation into account when giving recommendations.

If it’s the cost of rehab that is delaying you from receiving treatment, know that there are options out there that may help:

  • Insurance: Some rehab centers may accept Medicaid, Medicare, or private health insurance.
  • Payment plans and sliding-scale fees: Individual facilities may offer options to either reduce the burden of paying or all at once or even reduce the total cost according to your ability to pay.
  • Health care credit cards: Some companies provide credit cards specifically to cover health care costs. This may be an option for you if you think you’ll be able to pay off the credit card quickly after treatment.

Crowdfunding: You may be surprised just how many people are willing to help you on the road to sobriety. Setting up a crowdfunding account allows you to ask your friends and family (and even strangers) to support you in getting the care you need.
