User Reviews: Not only does Acadiana Recovery Center focuses on the individual, it views the process of growth to be family oriented and takes on a magnificent systems approach to reuniting individuals to a healthy, functioning family system by revising the system itself and all members within it. This place is amazing, but only if you want recovery. The staff listens to all concerns and rectifies them. They charge a very reasonable amount of money for all the services that they offer at their facility. The staff was a strength. It has definitely changed my life for the better!!!

User Reviews: Amazing staff A weakness was the old building This program is very efficient in terms of rehab and recovery and detox. This was an amazing experience, both for a strong start to my sobriety as well as a positive jumping off point for my sober relationships. The supportive staff was available to me 24/7 and were with me every step of the way to my recovery; from one-one-one talks with my counselor to supportive and safe, group meetings. I was always made to feel that my health and sobriety were of first priority to everyone with whom I worked. There was always a nurse in watch, and whenever there was any difficulty, I knew I could count on them, and on other staffs. The possibility of choosing from different programs just made things easier. I was not forced to do a program that I did not agree with, I have the possibility to decide for myself. And through out my stay, many times I had the possibility to choose, I was never forced into anything I did not agree with. I think that this is something that other rehabs lack, and I am glad that Acadiana Recovery Center is open minded about these things, and they let you choose. The grounds and buildings are immaculately kept and the food is great. My extensive food allergies were accommodated constantly. I would not hesitate in recommending Acadiana Recovery Center to anyone who suffers from addiction as they have changed my life and support me on a daily basis.

User Reviews: My sister went to Ochsner Addictive Behavior Unit last year and it saved her life. Honestly, it did much more than that though. I stopped talking to my sister years ago because I had given up that she’d ever get sober and then remain that way for any length of time. She’s struggled with addiction for 13 years and has been to rehab so many times I’ve lost count of how many. She usually finished those programs but she never stayed clean for more than 2 months. Usually though, she’d relapse within a week or two. It was depressing for everyone involved and after a while I made myself not care if she in rehab or getting high. I would have loved for her to go to a rehab and then stay sober afterward but I just didn’t see it happening. Until she went to Ochsner Addictive Behavior Unit. So many things changed for her there. Mainly she got sober and finally had the desire and the tools to stay that way. It’s been 8 months she since graduated from Ochsner Addictive Behavior Unit. She hasn’t relapsed. She’s still working hard and doing the things she needs to in order to stay sober. My sister has been to so many rehabs that I can say with complete honesty that it wasn’t just that my sister went to rehab or that she decided that she wanted to be sober. It was going to Ochsner Addictive Behavior Unit specifically that made the difference and I’m still amazed how much better she’s doing.

User Reviews: This place was horrible! First when you go to eval they put you in the best cabin. The you are dumped to a substandard living cabin with brown water and 20+ years furniture. The program makes you believe you are a despicable person and that's why you ended there. They love to traumatize as much as possible. The last 15 days they make you believe you are a great person and you are ready to hit the world. The staff is extremely rude and incompetent. And if you go there because you need a clearance, they make you feel you are in a penitence camp Oh and upon eval, everybody is an addict. Most people that go there relapse and they love it.
