S.T.A.N.D. Outpatient is a substance abuse treatment program that uses evidence based treatment. The program works with children between the ages of 13-17 who have a drug or alcohol problem.SCAN Inc. believes that the use and abuse of alcohol and drugs has damaging effects on the mind, body and spirit. The rise in crime, the spread of infectious diseases, the lack of productivity, the physical and mental deterioration, and the accidents caused by alcohol and drug intoxication, are some of the problems caused by the abuse of alcohol and/or drugs. These problems, in turn, affect our families and our community. S.C.A.N., Inc.'s outpatient program (S.T.A.N.D.) will work in conjunction with schools, criminal justice agencies, social service agencies, parents and other individuals to provide the best treatment services that will meet the needs of the chemically dependent or substance abusing youth. Is to provide quality substance abuse treatment services to those adolescents who have fallen victims to the afflictions of alcohol or drugs. By instilling hope and helping the individual abstain from alcohol and drugs through quality substance abuse services, S.C.A.N., Inc. will contribute to the fight against drug abuse in our community. Counseling Services:Comprehensive assessment Individualized treatment planning Individual and family counseling Skill building/ support groups for parents and caretakers Street outreach Home visitation Case management HIV assessment and education HIV related services Referral & follow-up STAND OP staff is also available for presentations at schools and other community based agencies upon request.
