Overview

Our Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Programs are certified by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. ?All clients undergo a comprehensive clinical assessment during which a plan of treatment is developed. Through individual counseling and group therapy clients learn to identify signs, symptoms, and triggers of substance abuse. In addition, clients are encouraged to develop new or more effective problem-solving strategies that will enable them to lead healthier lives after completing the program. Clients also are encouraged to attend NA meetings offered at Penn North and to live up to the principles and ideals of the twelve-step philosophy.
