User Reviews: I attended STR about two weeks ago in hopes to go from phase one house to phase two house. The admissions specialists tell a completely different process of the phasing and how you will be housed. I stayed for over a week giving the center a chance in hoping I would fall into feeling comfortable there but it did not happen. The women's house is so petty. There is constant bickering about who's cooking what and who's doing laundry and just too little space for so many women. The staff is friendly but defiently has their favorites. The rooming situations stunk...which also caused a lot of tension in the house. I ended up leaving after 9 days, I had asked that all my belongings be locked away in the basement out of reach of the other clients first before anything be done! ... I do NOT recommend this treatment facility to anyone or anyone's family members. Overal this is not a safe environment for anyone in early recovery there are much better places in PA that do the right thing when it comes down to someone's life. Integrity is definitely something that is not practiced in this facility. There was no accountability taken in this situation.

I had been struggling with an alcohol abuse habit for about twenty years and previous treatment centers I had gone too just were not working for me. Marworth treatment approach however was exactly what I needed to ensure that I could stay clean and sober for life. Marworth approach uses a lot of one on one attention and a lot of direct, focused treatment services to help people find their path to freedom from even the most difficult and unpleasant of substance abuse habits. One of my favorite things about Marworth is that this treatment center truly was able to help me see the future and see the path out of addiction and into a level of freedom and stability and abstinence that was lasting and permanent. Marworth combines an excellent degree of one on one services and group therapies to make for a well varied, and well thought out recovery approach. I will contend that this is a tricky program. You actually have to work at it and really apply yourself to it. I would say that the only reason why Marworth would not work for you would be if you were not committed to getting clean from your addiction when you entered into the treatment program. The therapists and doctors are simply world class. It’s a great facility with a peaceful atmosphere and great staff. Outdoor visits to the beach were also arranged by the staff. Very focused on helping clients connect to community to aid in their sobriety, long after they leave treatment. Also, GREAT FOOD which is a plus! Abstinent Living at the Turning Point has really helped me in regaining self-confidence.
Addiction Medicine Health Advocates, Inc. is a great place to go if you’re looking to get started with your recovery from addiction. Everything about this place is amazing from the treatment to the staff to the delicious meals ...and my favorite the slushie machine. They also have a really beautiful outdoor lounge that was a great place to just hang out and not feel like we were cooped up in the facility all day. The people here were really nice and they made my experience here that much better.
What a place! Everything. They worked as a team, to bring to the table individual needs as well as the needs of the group. Caring staff Located in a serene environment. Here you are treated as an equal and a person, not just an "addict or alcoholic." The programs there are great and really helpful but it’s the staff that makes all the difference. The place is full of life and hope.
