We are able to get massages here and that was a big help for me in the fact that I was getting much better sleep and I felt that that helped me be more comfortable and have less anxiety on a day to day basis. Once completing the detox process I was able to attend groups or one on one counseling. A couple of things that I really enjoyed about the program was the workout rooms and the music room. Getting nutritious meals daily was great, but then being able to go the workout room daily and build up our muscles and get a strong balanced body back was something that I was striving for so that I could not feel weak and powerless anymore. The music therapy room was another thing that really worked for me. I think we all connect to music one way or another. Whether it brings back good memories of a special occasion or brings you back to a time that you were at your lowest point in life. Being able to connect to music for me was a very powerful thing and being able to learn to listen to a song that I could relate to without the possibility of using at the same time was huge for me, so in that regard, I found this very helpful. Along with doing some counseling within groups or one on one I was able to find so many variations of treatment here. I was helped by some amazing people here and they really are educated and well trained. I gained a lot of knowledge by being here and learning how to put things in perspective.
