My entire stay at Sauk County Department of Human Services Substance Use Treatment Outpatient Services was great. I learned so much that I never thought I would. Everyone was very nice to me. All the staff members who I have met have been very nice and caring. I was a bit rebellious, but even like this they did not give up on me or sent me away. They have shown me how to be sober and stay sober and have fun at the same time. I really enjoyed the smart recovery. I am not religious, so I really appreciated that there is a nonreligious way to go about sobriety. I really liked all the things I learned. I know how to cope with my urges, and how to stay away from drugs. I also enjoyed the music exploration, music therapy. I think that music is really important in life, and being able to integrate this into recovery was a fantastic experience for me. This is what helped me the most to express my feelings. I would recommend this to anyone with a problem of addiction. You can have in recovery just try it. If I could have stayed a bit more to just have fun and stay with the awesome group of staff that is there, I would have.

I had successfully completed rehab programs at a number of other facilities before I arrived at Langlade Heathcare Center North Central Healthcare but the problem was that I would always go back to living the miserable life before I did before my therapy. Learning relapse prevention is the key to not going off track again and the people at Langlade Heathcare Center North Central Healthcare certainly made me good at that. It’s been 5 months since I left the facility and I’m proud to the core that I’m sober and I don’t see myself going back to my old routine ever again. I know that I’m one of the lucky few and I spend each moment being thankful for the life I have now.
