During their stay at Red River, patients are seen routinely by their attending psychiatrist or practitioner and are monitored 24/7 by a qualified nursing staff and behavioral health technicians. Psychologists, master's level counselors, licensed professional counselors, and licensed chemical dependency counselors lead daily group therapy sessions, process groups, psycho-educational groups, and family therapy, all while providing thorough and comprehensive individual case management.

Red River's program operates with a structural therapeutic environment. Daily goals groups, activity therapy groups, and wrap-up groups provide structured opportunities to acquire new coping skills, reinforce those skills, and receive feedback from staff and peers. The multidisciplinary team develops individual treatment plans and coordinates discharge plans for patients to include aftercare services that meet each person's unique set of needs.
