Overview

The agency provides substance abuse services for adults including those who are homeless or live primarily in the Pico Union/Westlake area of Los Angeles or the San Fernando Valley. Services include drop-in services for recovering adult male alcoholics, specialized information and referral, community education and prevention, a transitional shelter, twelve-step mutual support groups, alcohol and drug abuse counseling, emergency intervention services, community awareness and education, and public speakers. The agency also provides outreach services in the Pico Union/Westlake area of Los Angeles. There are no geographic restrictions.

The drop-in center provides an alcohol-free environment for homeless male alcoholics. The center provides counseling, referrals to other community agencies, snacks, clothing and showers. The center also offers alcohol education and discussion groups, as well as twelve-step meetings that are open to the public.

Vocational guidance includes job preparation and placement, resocialization and basic living skills, and assistance in developing an individual plan. The program also provides vocational testing and evaluation as needed.

There are no fees for most services.
