Overview

The components of the treatment process are; phase requirements, individual client treatment plans, therapeutic activities, program responsibilities and evaluations. It is through active involvement and participation on a daily basis that clients learn or relearn while doing.
Phase requirements are designed to help clients examine, clarify, accept and change those characteristics, both in behavior and attitude, which lead to their involvement with drugs and/or alcohol. There are three treatment phases, each a minimum of 90 days.

Requirements in the first phase of treatment center upon "telling one’s story", self disclosure and acknowledgement of events which lead to admission. The middle phase further clarifies individual social and psychological problems and explores new more effective coping behaviors and strategies. The last phase allows individuals to practice successful strategies and provide opportunities for both increased responsibility and establishing a consistent pattern of new behaviors.

Fees are based on clients ability to pay. All Out of County residents minimum fee is $800.00 a month.

Treatment Center Philosophy

Genesis House is a Vallejo based residential substance abuse treatment center for chemically dependent individuals struggling with addiction. Services provided include intensive group therapy, 12-Step meetings, recreational activities, individualized treatment plans, gestalt therapy, and family outings. Genesis House specializes in instilling clients with a sense of responsibility and accountability through highly structured daily activities, chores, and leadership roles.

Aftercare Support
Addiction recovery does not end with discharge after completing a rehab program. Facilities that offer aftercare planning and/or support work with patients to ensure sustainable recovery by helping to plan and make arrangements for transitional or sober living, help with housing, vocational counseling, etc.
Residential Treatment
Residential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs.
