Father Young realized early on that addiction was a disease that needed treatment, not incarceration. He counseled prison parolees who had no hope for their future upon release. And he knew that supporting successful recovery and integration into society meant his programs needed to include treatment, housing and employment – like the foundations supporting a three-legged stool. With our help, these individuals experience the dignity of earning a paycheck. They establish homes to raise families. They break free from the cycle of addiction and give back to their communities. Lives are changed and restored. In short, they become taxpayers.
