User Reviews: Wellness Resource Center is truly the best place you could send someone who’s addicted to drugs. My brother went there last year and he’s changed so much in that time. He went from shooting heroin to helping people get off heroin. Went from manipulating my mom out of money or just stealing money from our parents to working hard to get them paid back. He hasn’t paid them back completely but he sends them money from every paycheck he gets and he’s proud of the fact that he’s able to do it. He’s taken so much from my parents that to see him trying so hard to make up for it is amazing. I had stopped talking to him 2 years before he went to Wellness Resource Center. I was just sick of watching him ruin his life and when he stole a bunch of money from our parents I was just done. He started writing me letters when he got out detox at Wellness Resource Center. I was worried the first time I got one of his letters because every rehab he’s gone to before going to Wellness Resource Center all he did was complain about them. He hated being at them or he hated the people or the staff weren’t nice, it was always something and so I was expecting the same thing from him this time. However, I could tell that Wellness Resource Center was different for him. He told me that the detox he went through wasn’t too bad and that the detox staff really helped him get through it fairly comfortably. He loved the staff there and throughout his programs the letters continued to praise the program and the people working there. While he was there he told me that he had decided that he wanted to do the same thing with his life. He wanted to work there and help people get off drugs. That was a shock for me as I didn’t think he’d ever be that intent on helping others. He got to choose the program he did at Wellness Resource Center. He talked with his counselor about it of course the decision of how he was going to help himself get off drugs was ultimately up to him and that made a huge difference for him. He told me that when he decided on the program he was going to do was when he made the decision to really do that program and get sober for good. He started playing the guitar again. He was always playing when we were growing up but he sold his guitar to get heroin and so stopped playing. They have a music room at Wellness Resource Center where he spent most of his free time. By the time my brother finished his program we were talking on the phone again and I was so happy to have my brother back in my life. He is back at Wellness Resource Center working and he’s doing amazing. I don’t worry about him so much anymore and I know that he’s doing something he loves. It’s been such a great year with my brother and just knowing that he’s going to continue to do good is pretty awesome.

Great experience learned a lot of counselors worked very hard to help, stayed 45 days and the food was good and I worked out and followed steps and clinical program, I was lucky to get in they are awesome.
The treatment was personal, caring and effective. I was so very impressed by the staff. I found the program and staff to be understanding, helpful and available.
Guidance Care Center Inc definitely felt more like a resort than a rehabilitation center. I enrolled at the facility for a detox program that I was able to successfully complete. I liked a lot of things that I encountered there during my stay including food, tidiness of the facility, the overall attitude of their staff members and the group sessions the most. It was a fun experience as we had BBQs, outdoor trips, movies, and cooking classes. I would call it a fun and learning experience while you recover and become much of a positive person than before. Definitely the best facility out there!
