Wellness Resource Center

Center Description: Wellness Resource Center provides affordable addiction treatment to men and women, ages 18 and older, who are suffering from dual diagnosis of psychiatric illness and chemical dependency. In a safe, nurturing environment, our patients overcome habitu

User Reviews: Not only is this place EXTREMELY unprofessional. The actions they take to handle consequences are belligerent. My mother was there for treatment. Not only did they inform us of the wrong price and then demanded we pay $4500 THAT day because of the mistake they made. They, gave us the wrong prices and then their comment was "We had to be STUPID to think we would get any treatment for that price". No admittance to quoting us a wrong price, no apology, nothing. Then upon taking my mother to a doctor for anxiety and labs. She was not informed of the results, and contacted my sister and gave her the results. Following that, instead of contacting my us for payment of the doctors appointment. They saved my mothers boyfriend card information(from the initial downpayment). But contacted him for payment of the doctors visit instead of us. Which was wrong because his name was nowhere on the contract or was he stated anywhere as a point of contact. We have received ZERO emails of receipts, admittance emails or anything regarding my mother. Even as promised receipts and phone calls, neither were received. Treatments and facilities ways are not carried out as promised and stated on the website. Upon a week of following the lies, crooked ways and wrong doings. We decided to drive and get her. We did not inform them due to prior patients informing us they WILL put them out if not cooperating with their ways. We live 10 hours away and reached the facility at 9am. Upon arrival we walked in to speak with the counselor whom was LOVELY! She helped my mother SOOO much, only the best interest in mind. (Greeted by the person who gave us the wrong information whom had no apologies or things to say, only a very rude attitude) After constant attempts to convince us to leave her at the facility, we were not forcing her to leave. She agreed to. The facility director wanted to speak with me and my sister, especially after finding out of the wrong doings and contracts breached. We stated all of our issues to her as we did with the counselor. She very rudely informed us that she heavily advised against us taking our mother home, that we were making a huge mistake, that my mother was a raging alcoholic and we would let her continue down the same path because the new facility we planned to put her in couldn't help her. Which I found extremely unprofessional. My sister eventually became upset and informed the woman we would be leaving, with my mother, and no other payments would be made. Then the director stood up and told us that we had to wait 72 hours before we were allowed to receive any of her belongings, documents, contracts and even that we could not take my mother with us. At that moment we walked out and my mother continued to speak with the counselor. After a moment I went in to get my mother where the woman wouldn't let me in the room, I overheard them attempting to convince my mother to stay, that she HAD to stay so I made my way into the room. My name is in the contract as a point of contact and someone to oversee any processes. Upon entrance of the room the director demanded I get out and I had no right to be in there. Where I stated I had FULL rights to be apart of the conversation of her discharge and future treatment plans after leaving. She followed with arguing with me, demanding I get out and that she wouldn't disclose any information with me. For my mothers sake I stepped out. Where I then overheard her say that we(my sister and I) were Brats, and we were going to KILL my mother and let her go back downhill! At that moment my mother stepped out and I demanded we left at that moment. This is a VERY LONG story made as short as possible. I do not recommend sending anyone to this facility. Not only are they money hungry, they are liars and extremely unprofessional. My sister and I went in very calmly with our heads on our shoulders but once she decided to argue with us, I became angered. We left without any paperwork, they refused to give us any of her items(clothes, money, birth certificate, insurance cards etc). The pictures on the website are not true, the rooms are shared by anywhere of 4-5 people at a time. Group sessions are numbered around 25 and it is stated as more of a screaming match. Not only are these words from my mother but other patients as well whom spoke with me and informed me of these things. Patients are hardly monitored, in the hour I was there 2 patients were behind the building smoking marijuana. I was told multiple patients have brought in alcohol, drugs and acted sexually in the bathrooms and things. This company is sideways, crooked and extremely unprofessional. For the amount of money you are gonna pay, you can get somewhere MUCH better for yourself or loved one. I am not one to make a bad review or bash any company, but this company has done nothing but put a bad taste in my mouth. I hope that you took the time to read this to better inform yourself. To the Wellness center, I hope in time you can grow as a company and I appreciate what help you did provide my mother.

Latest Reviews Of Rehab Centers In Patrick Afb FL

Drug addiction starts with the need for self-medication because of a number of psychological reasons. During my stay at the Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches, I learned how to fight my inner demons and it helped me rebuild my personality to start a new life. There’s a lot of learning and fun activities going on at the facility and people including the staff and patients are really nice to each other. I had a great experience with Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches and will recommend it people struggling with addiction.

ADAP Counseling Services is truly the best place you could send someone who’s addicted to drugs. My brother went there last year and he’s changed so much in that time. He went from shooting heroin to helping people get off heroin. Went from manipulating my mom out of money or just stealing money from our parents to working hard to get them paid back. He hasn’t paid them back completely but he sends them money from every paycheck he gets and he’s proud of the fact that he’s able to do it. He’s taken so much from my parents that to see him trying so hard to make up for it is amazing. I had stopped talking to him 2 years before he went to ADAP Counseling Services. I was just sick of watching him ruin his life and when he stole a bunch of money from our parents I was just done. He started writing me letters when he got out detox at ADAP Counseling Services. I was worried the first time I got one of his letters because every rehab he’s gone to before going to ADAP Counseling Services all he did was complain about them. He hated being at them or he hated the people or the staff weren’t nice, it was always something and so I was expecting the same thing from him this time. However, I could tell that ADAP Counseling Services was different for him. He told me that the detox he went through wasn’t too bad and that the detox staff really helped him get through it fairly comfortably. He loved the staff there and throughout his programs the letters continued to praise the program and the people working there. While he was there he told me that he had decided that he wanted to do the same thing with his life. He wanted to work there and help people get off drugs. That was a shock for me as I didn’t think he’d ever be that intent on helping others. He got to choose the program he did at ADAP Counseling Services. He talked with his counselor about it of course the decision of how he was going to help himself get off drugs was ultimately up to him and that made a huge difference for him. He told me that when he decided on the program he was going to do was when he made the decision to really do that program and get sober for good. He started playing the guitar again. He was always playing when we were growing up but he sold his guitar to get heroin and so stopped playing. They have a music room at ADAP Counseling Services where he spent most of his free time. By the time my brother finished his program we were talking on the phone again and I was so happy to have my brother back in my life. He is back at ADAP Counseling Services working and he’s doing amazing. I don’t worry about him so much anymore and I know that he’s doing something he loves. It’s been such a great year with my brother and just knowing that he’s going to continue to do good is pretty awesome.

I would like to say what a great program this was for my younger brother. Before coming to Counseling and Recovery Center Inc, he had been through several programs with no long-term success. After being arrested for the 3rd time and court ordered to this treatment center, we had very little hope. The staff here was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. This is the first treatment that he stayed past the detox unit. Being that his addiction was heroin, he went in being very sick from the 3 days in jail after his arrest. They took great care of him throughout the process. This treatment was different than the rest because I think that the staff and structure really covered all areas. From the detox to the education about drug addiction to the group work and art therapy, my brother left with all the tools he needs to stay clean. He is 8 months clean today, it has been not an easy road, but My family and I feel very confident in his progress and new clean lifestyle.

Living quarters are comfortable. Comfortable beds and linens. Laundry available. This facility does a great job ensuring that clients get out in the real world during their stay via field trips, grocery shopping, and 12 step meetings. Many staff members are in recovery, so they are more empathetic than most. Meals are good. Staff is caring. A small facility so the clients really have a chance to support one another. The staff listens to all concerns and rectifies them.
