There was even an incident of disruptive behavior by a patient that happened to be related to one of the higher ups at the facility. We were all impressed when the facility kicked him out, as opposed to turning a blind eye to his behavior that was affecting our treatment. Before I arrived at Agape Recovery Center, I somewhat felt relieved that people genuinely cared for me when I couldn’t even begin to care for myself.
