Why Go to Drug and Alcohol Treatment in Norwood, MA?

Alcoholism recovery necessitates a total change of one's lifestyle and perceptions. Substance abuse addiction can be co-occurring with mental health disorders, trauma, or behavioral issues. Drug abuse rehab starts by treating the physical body to ensure that substances are removed. After drugs and alcohol are out of the body, therapists begin treating the brain. Learning stress management, healthy boundaries, and coping skills will significantly increase the likelihood of permanent sobriety. It can take weeks or even months of intensive substance abuse treatment to totally address the hidden causes of substance abuse addiction. Drug and alcohol addiction is a debilitating disease that changes the mind as well as the body. Until we address the underlying reasons for chemical dependency, there is little hope for continuing sobriety. Here at Your First Step, we can assist you in finding the right rehab program in Norwood, MA that addresses your needs.

Latest Reviews Of Rehab Centers In Norwood MA

My sister went to Bournewood Hospital last year and it saved her life. Honestly, it did much more than that though. I stopped talking to my sister years ago because I had given up that she’d ever get sober and then remain that way for any length of time. She’s struggled with addiction for 13 years and has been to rehab so many times I’ve lost count of how many. She usually finished those programs but she never stayed clean for more than 2 months. Usually though, she’d relapse within a week or two. It was depressing for everyone involved and after a while I made myself not care if she in rehab or getting high. I would have loved for her to go to a rehab and then stay sober afterward but I just didn’t see it happening. Until she went to Bournewood Hospital. So many things changed for her there. Mainly she got sober and finally had the desire and the tools to stay that way. It’s been 8 months she since graduated from Bournewood Hospital. She hasn’t relapsed. She’s still working hard and doing the things she needs to in order to stay sober. My sister has been to so many rehabs that I can say with complete honesty that it wasn’t just that my sister went to rehab or that she decided that she wanted to be sober. It was going to Bournewood Hospital specifically that made the difference and I’m still amazed how much better she’s doing.

Enjoyed the people I met here. Pretty laid back and they are accommodating to needs. I really enjoyed this place & would recommend it to others.

There are meditation and a great exercise program, private rooms. This facility looks beautiful so peaceful. Wonderful place for treatment. Their program prepares you for the outside world. Everyone here is looking for the same common goal: "To live a sober life." Admire work ethic because it comes from the heart. All the staff was extremely nice and I received quality individualized therapy sessions.

The fellow patients are good people. The staff is the most committed, loving, kind, people who are doing what they were born for. It’s amazing being clean and sober. This facility has caring, friendly, supportive and knowledgeable staff. The staff is caring, knowledgeable and provide excellent guidance. I am now returning to normal and will be eternally grateful to the staff and program of EMH Recovery Inc Edwina Martin Recovery House.
