My sister went to Bournewood Hospital last year and it saved her life. Honestly, it did much more than that though. Usually though, she’d relapse within a week or two. It was depressing for everyone involved and after a while I made myself not care if she in rehab or getting high. I would have loved for her to go to a rehab and then stay sober afterward but I just didn’t see it happening. Until she went to Bournewood Hospital. So many things changed for her there. Mainly she got sober and finally had the desire and the tools to stay that way. It’s been 8 months she since graduated from Bournewood Hospital. She hasn’t relapsed. She’s still working hard and doing the things she needs to in order to stay sober. You will be provided with all the tools and guidance necessary for a successful recovery within a relaxed social environment. Along with the counseling and guidance session there is plenty of time allowed for daily activity outings and free time to spend as you choose. The relaxed environment helps you focus on your healing, and deal with the things you need to deal with. I enjoyed their meals as well, you always get a good choice of meals. I really appreciated that I could stay for a longer period of time, because I did not feel like 30 days were enough, so I stayed almost 2 months.
