Why Go to Drug and Alcohol Treatment in Hampton, VA?

Alcoholism recovery necessitates a total change of one's lifestyle and perceptions. Substance abuse addiction can be co-occurring with mental health disorders, trauma, or behavioral issues. Drug abuse rehab starts by treating the physical body to ensure that substances are removed. After drugs and alcohol are out of the body, therapists begin treating the brain. Learning stress management, healthy boundaries, and coping skills will significantly increase the likelihood of permanent sobriety. It can take weeks or even months of intensive substance abuse treatment to totally address the hidden causes of substance abuse addiction. Drug and alcohol addiction is a debilitating disease that changes the mind as well as the body. Until we address the underlying reasons for chemical dependency, there is little hope for continuing sobriety. Here at Your First Step, we can assist you in finding the right rehab program in Hampton, VA that addresses your needs.

Latest Reviews Of Rehab Centers In Hampton VA

My parents found Danville Pittsylvania Community Services and I am so glad they did. I’ve been using and trying to quit heroin for the last 10 years and it’s been really hard. I’ve gone to a few 28-day programs but they didn’t really do much good. By the time the 28 days were up I still wouldn’t be feeling all that great and when I went home it became almost impossible to stay clean. Since I wouldn’t be feeling completely fine and knowing that I could be feeling better if I just used it became all about willpower for me to stay clean and that never worked well for me. If sheer willpower alone could have kept me clean I wouldn’t have needed rehab in the first place. The fact that Danville Pittsylvania Community Services wasn’t based on time but on my own progress through the program made such a huge difference for me. I was able to move through the program at my own pace and when I did move forward on my program I was completely 100 percent ready to. Another thing about Danville Pittsylvania Community Services that was different for me was the fact that I actually enjoyed my time there. I didn’t spend my time there wishing I was somewhere else. I was happy being there and that made it so much easier to really concentrate on my program and not on anything that was happening at home. The counselors at Danville Pittsylvania Community Services are beyond amazing. I’ve never been to a place where every single counselor cares that much about the clients. There’s a lot of staff there that have had their own experiences with drug or alcohol addiction and because of that they really want to help the clients that come through. There wasn’t one time when I couldn’t talk to a counselor about something that was bugging me. I never felt like I was getting blown off. I also felt understood on a completely different level. It’s one thing for a counselor to tell you they understood what you’re going through. It is quite another thing to actually feel understood. At Danville Pittsylvania Community Services I always felt like I was understood and that I would get the help I needed to get through whatever it was I was going through at the time. A few other things about Danville Pittsylvania Community Services that I loved. We got to go out once a week with the other clients and go do something fun. You wouldn’t think it’d be that important but in actuality it made me realize how easy it was to have a good time without drinking or getting high. I was at Danville Pittsylvania Community Services for a little over 2 months and when I went home I was completely confident in my own ability to stay sober. I’ve been staying with my parents until both they and I feel like I’m ready to move out again. It’s amazing being about to reconnect with my parents. I never realized I missed just hanging out with my mom. I’m working now. I’ve had the same job for 2 months and as sad as it sounds, it’s the longest I’ve held a job. Going to Best Drug Rehab has completely changed my life. I’ve never been happier than I am right now and it’s all because of the program and the people at Danville Pittsylvania Community Services.

Overall great experience. very grateful for the staff here, would recommend this facility 10/10 to anyone struggling with an addiction problem.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Volunteers of America is a gorgeous and peaceful setting. They offer a broad range of treatment options & resources. You do not want to attend any other rehabilitation center as this place treats you as a human being, not as a prisoner. Ample one on one counselor services with clients. The program was thorough in all areas of recovery. The extended care and support by the individual attention provided by counselors was a key to my recovery.

Crossroads Adult Residential Programs Kingstowne provides parallel treatment to mental health and substance use disorders. I was looking for a facility that should take care of addiction and co-occurring mental disorders. The treatment team is highly experienced and trained. A proper medical aid including psychotherapeutic medications is provided to people in recovery.
