User Reviews: This is the poorest excuse for a rehab that I have ever seen in my life. I did not attend this facility and I am so sorry that I put a loved one though this. Thank God that THEY determined they could not medically provide care for my loved one after ONE day. I am not going into details. Suffice it to say in my opinion I don't think they have the brain power to treat a goldfish. They would have better luck opening a bar then to try and treat alcoholism. I am also a grateful recovering alcoholic of 12 years who had the great fortune of not dealing with these people. I thank God for watching over me. 10/25/2016

User Reviews: August 29, 2014 was literally the day that changed my life. Five years prior I had become addicted to prescription pain pills. For five years I lived with this secret demon that controlled every second of my life. I hid it from my family, friends and coworkers. From the outside you would have thought I had it all: two beautiful little girls, a loving fiancé, and supportive friends and family. But inside I was miserable and felt like dying was the only way to end this vicious cycle.Two days before checking into Gulf Breeze my luck ran out. My fiancé found a bottle of forty pills and asked me if I had a drug problem. I was angry, yet relieved that my secret was exposed. I cried in his arms and said, "I need help!"I contacted a friend who had been in and out of rehabs several times, all of which were 12-Step programs, and none of them had worked for her. She told me about a place she had just come back from called Gulf Breeze Recovery in Florida. She said, "I have been to them all, and Gulf Breeze is a godsend."When I arrived, the place looked like a resort. I was greeted by a very friendly guy; he showed me the facility and I was so impressed, a sense of relief came over me. I was scared of detox because I didn't know what to expect. I was worried about hurting, withdrawals, and whatever comes with getting off of opiates.The nurses and staff treated me like family and not just like another addict. My detox was very comfortable and the nurses accommodated me day and night.After I left the detox treatment I was moved to my permanent room, which was extremely nice and very comfortable.My first two weeks were spent in the spa and sauna to help more with the detox process. After about two weeks being there I started feeling like myself again. I was laughing with the other guests and it was genuine; I would cry because I missed my family, but it was also genuine. I wasn't masking my emotions with pills anymore.At Gulf Breeze Recovery they don't remind you of what you were and what you did. They remind you that you still have and will always have good in you and that what you did in the past is over. Every day is a new day.It will be a year on August 29, 2015 that I have been sober. The clinical staff works with every client to provide an individualized treatment program. Everyone here has been wonderful and very helpful. Their onsite therapy is profound.
