User Reviews: Thankfully I had strong therapists who gave me direction. As alcoholics and drug addicts, we spend large sections of our lives avoiding direction of any kind. Being told to do things like make my bed, participate in group therapy, and not fraternize with the opposite sex were new and initially unwelcome experiences for me, but it made all the difference.From a cost perspective, I read these other reviews and it boggles my mind. Wellness is extremely cost-effective. You would be paying essentially double if not more for any other inpatient program. I had done residential treatment at other facilities and they were essentially vacations. I went there, hung around for 28 days or so, and then went home. I had a host of other co-occurring issues, such as untreated bipolar disorder, self-harm, disordered eating, and co-dependency, along with my addiction, that were not addressed by these other programs. Wellness is not a vacation - Wellness is a place where you come to do work on yourself. I have been sober for almost 5 years now in large part thanks to Wellness.At the end of the day, the best way to find an appropriate treatment program is through a professional referral. I was referred to Wellness by a clinician who I trusted because she had patients who succeeded at Wellness.

User Reviews: August 29, 2014 was literally the day that changed my life. Five years prior I had become addicted to prescription pain pills. For five years I lived with this secret demon that controlled every second of my life. I hid it from my family, friends and coworkers. From the outside you would have thought I had it all: two beautiful little girls, a loving fiancé, and supportive friends and family. But inside I was miserable and felt like dying was the only way to end this vicious cycle.Two days before checking into Gulf Breeze my luck ran out. My fiancé found a bottle of forty pills and asked me if I had a drug problem. I was angry, yet relieved that my secret was exposed. I cried in his arms and said, "I need help!"I contacted a friend who had been in and out of rehabs several times, all of which were 12-Step programs, and none of them had worked for her. She told me about a place she had just come back from called Gulf Breeze Recovery in Florida. My detox was very comfortable and the nurses accommodated me day and night.After I left the detox treatment I was moved to my permanent room, which was extremely nice and very comfortable.My first two weeks were spent in the spa and sauna to help more with the detox process. After about two weeks being there I started feeling like myself again. I was laughing with the other guests and it was genuine; I would cry because I missed my family, but it was also genuine. I wasn't masking my emotions with pills anymore.At Gulf Breeze Recovery they don't remind you of what you were and what you did. They remind you that you still have and will always have good in you and that what you did in the past is over. Every day is a new day.It will be a year on August 29, 2015 that I have been sober. User Reviews: This facility is great from start to finish. The staff is top notch. I cannot say enough about this program. My son had been to three other programs with no luck they were very shady and lied. When I took my son to Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches I was never so excited. He loves the program, the staff, and the facility. He will be graduating soon! His case manager has been wonderful. Families are kept informed and can make visits.
