Provider Description

All fees for services are charged according to a sliding scale based upon the family income and size. Inability to pay will NOT exclude an individual from receiving services.


Adult Mental Health
Mental Health Services for adults in Webb County are available through the Border Region Behavioral Health Center. The Adult Behavioral Health Services Unit provides an array of services to adults 18 years of age or older who suffer from schizophrenia, bipolar disorders, severe major depression, or any other severely disabling mental disorders which require crisis resolution or ongoing and long-term support and treatment.

Eligibility Criteria:
   A resident of Webb, Jim Hogg, Starr or Zapata County and at least 18 years old and diagnosed with schizophrenia, severe major
    depression, bipolar or schizoaffective disorders.
   In compliance with Border Region Behavioral Health Center financial criteria.

Children’s Mental Health
Mental Health Services for children are also available through the Border Region Behavioral Health Center.


Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
The Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Program offers an array of services specifically designed to meet the needs of individuals diagnosed with intellectual/cognitive, pervasive developmental disorder and/or related conditions.



To reach and assist people who have difficulty getting appropriate care due to various factors, such as acute behavioral symptomology, economic hardship, homelessness, unfamiliarity with or difficulty in accessing services and other supports. Assistance is related to community mental health, rehabilitation ( drug or alcohol treatment), SSI, and housing. Substance Abuse Treatment Program.
