Pathways, by providing broad-based community programs, ensures that primary prevention equips individuals with the strategies and tools of recovery to prevent them from experiencing problems with alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. Pathways views secondary prevention as a tool to identify problems early on in order to reduce high-risk behavior. Pathways provides a mixture of both primary and secondary prevention services.
