Provider Description

This residential program assists up to 130 men, with treatable handicaps, drug dependence, alcohol addiction or other problems, at one time. Residents receive addiction counseling and are taught skills and given responsibilities that will help them return to community living.  This self-supported program is funded by Salvation Army Thrift Stores, located around the Kansas City area. The ARC is responsible for the daily operations of these stores, providing pick-up service, sorting and refurbishing of goods and sometimes manning the counters. All funds generated by the store are put directly back into the program.
